Nagpur@2025’ is an initiative aiming to change the face of Nagpur and bring in a sense of ownership and pride amongst the citizens, by combining the efforts of NGOs, Corporates, Citizens and the local administration – City Corporation and the Police Department working in conjunction under a joint MOU.
The efforts will be directed at improving the City on Waste Management, Public Toilets & Conveniences, Public Spaces & Gardens, Lake Rejuvenation & Heritage Sites Conservation along with Traffic Management fronts.
Nagpur@2025 in association with NMC had planned a unique activity on Sunday, 26th February to create awareness about cleanliness & waste management.
In an initiative led by the Saving Dreamz Foundation, more than 150 young skaters showcased their dextrous talent to promote awareness about cleanliness in urban spaces. Around 40 children from Dnyan Jyoti Andh Vidyalaya & more than 30 Divyang students from NMC Schools also led a rally to foster conscientiousness about a clean and healthy Nagpur.
The activity was supported by a huge gathering of citizens. The activity commenced from Ramagiri, Walkers Street, Civil Lines at 7:30am and ended at the same spot at 8:30am.
From Nagpur@2025, Convener Nimish Sutaria, CEO Malhar Deshpande, Pravin Singh, Subhash Thakre motivated the participants. Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi interacted with the gathering. Assistant Commissioner Prakash Warade, Deputy Commissioner Gajendra Mahalle were prominently present.
Ashish Deshpande of Saving Dreams Foundation and Rohit Deshpande of RD Skating Academy led the skating rally.
