The beautification works at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport have been accelerated for the C-20 summit which is to be held as part of the G-20 summit from March 20 to 22, 2023 in Nagpur city. The plantation of attractive trees, pillars erected for the national flag, attractive pictures being painted on the walls in the area, and other activities are going on in full swing.
The arrival of representatives from home and abroad for the G-20 conference will take place at the airport here. The airport area is getting ready to welcome these guests. The Parks and Trees Authority of the Municipal Corporation has accelerated the beautification work in the airport area. Various species of flowers are being planted in the area up to 1 km from the exit of the airport.
Circular, triangular and oval-shaped topiary trees are being planted in the area under the name board which has been planted at the exit of the airport. Malaphygia trees have been planted for about 1 km from the airport to the Pride Hotel.
Two-way flagpoles have been erected on this road at strategic places to hoist the flags of the member states of the G-20 Council. Kona Carpus trees of 8 to 9 feet in height are being planted on both sides of the road. A garland of colorful flowers 3 meters wide and nearly 1 km long is also being installed. Tiger Capital and Santra Nagri, the iconic images of Nagpur, will be created in the Terminal Mendome area. Also, a vertical garden and a big board with the message ‘Welcome to Nagpur’ in the national languages of G-20 member countries will be erected.
