Even as various agencies are busy making final preparations for the G20 Meet in Nagpur, Maha Metro Nagpur has installed a huge 3D Logo of the theme at Shivangaon Fata near Airport South Metro Station. The huge 3Dimensional logo along with other creative models is only of its kind in the country and is part of overall preparations being made by Maha Metro to beautify city for the much-awaited event.
The massive monument, includes Tiger mascot, G20 and Maha Metro Nagpur logo, is 130 feet broad and 20 feet long logo, thus adding to its overall attraction. The entire structure weighs close to 1000 kilogram and was completed in record time frame of a week. The entire material is made of Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP). The assembly would be properly illuminated to add to the glitter of entire structure.
Not just 3Dimentional Logo, but the entire structure is part of a beautiful G20 Theme Park, which has also come up there. Thus in addition to this, Nagpur Metro also offers utility platform in the form of Theme Park for citizens to relax and rest there. A well curated lawn would be an addition to the charm of the Park.
The Park would come up over a land mass measuring 30,000 sq ft. It would be a permanent utility, adorned with different ornamental and flowering plants like bougainvillea. The Theme Park would have seating arrangement for visitors to rest, relax and also provision for skating and other children activities.
Next week, Nagpur is all set to host C20 meet which is part of G20. Civil Society 20 or C20 is one of the eight official engagement groups of the G20 forum since 2013 that aims to bring a perspective from civil society organisations from around the world to the forum’s heads of state. The Group is also described as a platform for civil society organisations around the world to bring forth a non-government and non-business voice.
Under the umbrella of the G20, C20 engages more than 800 civil societies, representatives, and networks of various countries, including organisations from countries who are not G20 members, to ensure that `people across all strata of society’ are heard at the G20 Leaders’ Summit. The group aims at protecting the environment, promoting social and economic development and human rights.
The logo and the theme together convey a powerful message of India’s G20 Presidency, which is of striving for just and equitable growth for all in the world, in a sustainable, holistic, responsible, and inclusive manner. The logo and theme represents a uniquely Indian approach to the G20 Presidency, of living in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem.
The theme also spotlights LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), with is linked to environmentally sustainable and responsible choices, both at the level of individual lifestyles as well as national development, leading to globally transformative actions resulting in a cleaner, greener and bluer future.
For India, the G20 Presidency also marks the beginning of `Amritkaal’, the 25-year period beginning from the 75th anniversary of its independence on 15th August 2022, leading up to centenary of its independence, towards a futuristic, prosperous, inclusive and developed society, distinguished by a human-centric approach at its core.
Nagpur Metro has aptly named one of its station as Zero Mile Freedom Park Metro Station to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (AKAM) – 75th anniversary of the Indian Independence. Thus after Zero Mile Freedom Park, the Logo and Theme Park would be the second such memorial constructed by Maha Metro Nagpur, with specific intent.
Apart from its aesthetic value, the G20 Theme Park would also serve as green lung and has been ideally located next to the Wardha Road – which is one of the most busiest and most congested roads of the city.
