Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director, MP Tourism Board Mr. SheoShekhar Shukla (IAS) highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is a state that is covered in acers and acers of forests, and these forests cover almost 3/4th of the total area of the state. Madhya Pradesh which is already known to be the Tiger state of India, Leopard state of India, Ghariyal state of India and Wolf state of India is now also the Cheetah state of India after the introduction of Cheetas in the Kuno National Park.
The MP Tourism Board along with the Government of Madhya Pradesh works very aggressively towards the prevention of these forests along with trying to keep the habitat as natural as possible. Since the state lies on the tropic of cancer, the wildlife and vegetation of state is perfectly suitable to sustain wildlife. Madhya Pradesh Tourism consciously make efforts to do not intervene with the natural settings and animals to provide them a more naturally sustainable environment.
