Congress leader Ashish Deshmukh has been served notice by the party high command, for openly criticizing party President Mallikarjun Kharge, Maharashtra unit President Nana Patole, and other party leaders.
The notice was served upon Deshmukh after a meeting of the party’s Disciplinary Committee under ex-Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan’s chairmanship. Former MP Bhalchandra Munagekar and Ulhas Pawar attended the meeting.
Deshmukh has been criticizing senior leaders of Congress for the last few months. He was denied a ticket during the last Assembly elections from his native place Katol in Nagpur district.
