The Lady Entrepreneurs’ Wing of Vidarbha Industries Association conducted a session on “Heroine of My Own Life” by Shinjini Kumar on 5th April under the able chairmanship of Poonam Lala.
Shinjini Kumar having 30 years of experience in finance, elaborated about her venture named “SALT”, in which she is the Co-Founder. She began her presentation by stating that “Being an entrepreneur and being a woman” – managing finance comes naturally to you.
Shinjini stressed upon women, who are taking to entrepreneurship than ever before, are they doing right or what can be done to further enable and empower them. She stated that SALT also offers products like Money Personality, Money Life Choices, and Digital Gold etc. She advised the participants to use your resources to increase your RPM which leads to Relationship, Process & Money.
She said this platform helps women entrepreneurs to balance their personal and business finance activities smoothly. Women can also track, invest, manage her finance activities and save their money.
She explained the significance of two types of accounts i.e. personal and current, which help to keep the account pattern and easy to understand the cash flow.
One should always remember and regulate the heads like revenue, profit margin, cost, receivables, and payables for smooth running of business. Adding to this, she tried to share the knowledge about Debt & Equity, which is the primary factor to expand the business.
She advised the participants to keep an eagle eye on the demand & supply chain, improve efficiency of how fast you make and ship orders, keep least inventory, calculate the cost of keeping cash, how much you are willing to invest for the growth, etc. In the women run businesses, it was noticed that women do not scale because they do not get capital, they do not get capital because of they do not scale.
Lastly she also aptly answered all the queries from the participants.
Earlier, VIA LEW Chairperson, Poonam Lala welcomed the guest speaker with a floral bouquet and also informed about the programs to be carried out by the wing as well as requested participants to display their products at the VIA LEW – Multivendor Store. Project Director, Reeta Lanjewar introduced the Guest Speaker Shinjini Kumar and also conducted the proceedings.
