Rajendra Uchke, chief fire officer of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, who had complained about ‘honeytrap’ case but was himself found chatting obscenely with a woman after investigation, has been arrested. The team from Kotwali police station, Rajnandgaon, in Chhattisgarh arrested him.
A highly educated young woman from Nagpur met Amit Soni from Chhattisgarh through Facebook and both fell in love. They got married in 2021. Uchke and the woman already knew each other. There was also conversation between the two.
However, from June 17, 2022, Uchke started having sex chats with the woman. He also re- portedly sent his obscene videos, porn videos and audios to the woman.
According to the complaint, Uchke then started pressing her to have physical relations with him. He apparently also threatened to kill her along with her family, saying he was an officer. The woman filed a complaint with the Rajnandgaon police station.
An offence was registered against Uchke in November 2022 under sections 506(B) and 509(B) of the Indian Penal Code and section 67(A) of Infor- mation Technology Act.
A police team from Rajnandgaon arrested Uchke three days ago. The team led by in-charge of Kotwali Police Station Bhola Singh Rajput came to Nagpur and arrested the chief fire officer
