Maximum temperature in the Vidarbha region have begun to rise in the second fortnight of April month. The increase in the temperatures has already started to take a toll on the lives of citizens. The administration is all geared up to tackle the situation.
Brahmapuri in Chandrapur district was hottest in region at 43.8 degree Celsius followed by Gondia at 43.5 degree Celsius. Chandrapur city recorded a maximum of 42.8 degree Celsius on Wednesday which is 1.4 degree above normal.
Akola recorded a maximum of 42.4 which is 1.1 degree above normal. Meanwhile Wardha district recorded a maximum of 42.5 degree Celsius which is 1.2 degree above normal.
Other districts in the Vidarbha region recorded maximum temperatures as follows:
Yavatmal- 42.0 (1.8 degree above normal), Amravati- 42.2 (1.5 degree above normal), Gadchiroli- 41.6, Washim- 40.8 (0.8 degree above normal), Buldhana- 39.6 (1.4 degree above normal).
