The students and government employees would face action if they come to the educational institution or their workplace without helmets.
The Nagpur Traffic Commissioner Vivek Bhimanwar has taken the decision in an effort to generate awareness about the use of helmets.
Despite the fact that road accidents are increasing and those without helmets suffer severe head injuries and even lose their lives.
As the law prescribes for fine and punishment for not using the helmet, vehicle riders put it on only near major squares. The helmet is removed immediately after crossing the squares where traffic police constable is deputed.
Bhimanwar is using a different method to compel people to use the helmet.
