Changing seasons call for new styling in sync with the weather conditions. To embrace summer without compromising on the style quotient, &TV artists revamp their wardrobes and share their best-kept summer fashion styles. Artists include Neha Joshi(Yashoda, Doosri Maa), Kamna Pathak (Rajesh Singh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Vidisha Srivastava (Anita Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai).Neha Joshi, aka Yashoda from Doosri Maa, shares, “Summer clothes aim to have as much airflow as possible. My summer wardrobe contains clothes made of breathable fabrics like cotton and linen, which keep me cool in hot weather. Cotton suits, flowy sarees and Kurtis, classic linen or cotton trousers, and comfy maxi dresses keep me stylish in the summer. It applies whether the garment is plain, striped, sequined, or oversized. I always have these summer clothing options in my closet and pair them with accessories like scarves, dupattas, and lightweight jewellery to complete my look. Also, when I go shopping, I always choose pastel colours. They reflect the sun and help me keep cool in the heat. It also looks great with my tan and lighter hair.”
Kamna Pathak, aka, Rajesh Singh from Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “For me, summer is about casualness and relaxation. During the day, I prefer light colours, while at night, I prefer dark colours. Baggy cotton shirts and loose cargo jeans are my go-to attire during the summer. It is also time to get loafers and slippers out of my closet. In summer, I step out of the house without a stole. They are trendy and convenient, making them an ideal summer companion. A colourful stole enhances the look of your outfit and helps you relieve the scorching sun’s rays. Lastly, sunglasses are a must, not only for style but also to protect your eyes. Invest in a good pair and wear them with your outfits to look trendy while beating the summer heat with the utmost style.” Vidisha Srivastava, aka Anita Bhabi, from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, shares, “I avoid loud patterns and switch to something simple yet classy. You must have cotton and linen in your wardrobe. White and light shades are the key to clothing this season. Also, wear deodorants and perfumes; they are a must this season. I am the type who feels that t-shirts and shirts are too plain and boring because we can wear them any time of the year, so the summers are my best time to bring some variety and colour to my wardrobe by investing in various colours and types of kurtas. From mid-length to frock-based or flowy, long ones, I keep pairing them with contrasting leggings or jeans and colourful summertime flats.”
