Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today expressed the intention to make Nagpur the best city in the country by providing drinking water facility, solid waste management as per international standards, connecting the adjacent cities through Metro Phase-2, developing the city as a logistics capital, making the city pothole free.
In the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis, an inauguration ceremony of the newly appointed executive for the year 2023-25 of CREDAI Nagpur Metro was held at Center Point Hotel. He was speaking on this occasion. Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishna B., Credai Nagpur Metro President Gaurav Agarwala, General Secretary Eklavya Wasekar, Treasurer Ashish Londhe were present on the stage.
Fadnavis said, Nagpur city is changing since last decade. The city recently got the first award in the state for beautification and cleanliness. A huge amount of funds have been made available for this city in the state budget. Drinking water scheme in the city is in final stage. Nagpur city is ahead of other cities in terms of sanitation. He also said that recently the Municipal Corporation has signed an agreement with a Swedish company and in the next 18 months, solid waste management will be started in Nagpur city as per international standards.
Real estate sector creates employment demand. That is why the government is also paying attention to this sector. Nagpur is about 40 km A metro rail network has been created in the area. Adjacent suburbs will be connected through Metro Phase-II. Like other sectors, the real estate sector will also benefit from this. The state government will soon implement new measures to curb the black market of sand. This will make sand available to all. Large scale industries are coming up in India and Maharashtra. Fadnavis also said that the geographically Nagpur city will be developed as a logistics capital.
Fadnavis said that two runways will be opened at Babasaheb Ambedkar International Nagpur Airport and the concept of pothole-free city will be implemented in Nagpur by constructing the best roads in the coming years. He wished the new executive of CREDAI Nagpur Metro to work vigorously.
