About 1900 Aadhar cards of teachers in the Vidarbha region were found to be invalid. The startling information came to light during updating the Aadhar cards of teachers. The Maharashtra Primary Education Council had directed the teachers of all primary school teachers to update their own Aadhar cards before updating the students’ Aadhar cards, a regional newspaper has reported.
The teachers and school headmasters are facing problems in completing the procedure before the deadline of April 30.
Meanwhile, it was found that the Aadhar cards of 1889 from the Vidarbha region are invalid. Their number in the region are – Akola – 95, Amravati – 197, Bhandara – 49, Chandrapur – 247, Gadchiroli – 91, Gondia – 120, Nagpur – 827, Wardha – 42, and Yavatmal – 221.
The procedure of updating students’ Aadhar cards would be delayed as updating the teachers’ cards might consume time.. Primary Teachers Council has declared a list 12,653 teachers whose Aadhar cards are invalid for some or other reasons.
