On April 21, Nangjibhai Patel, a resident of Queta colony, suddenly felt dizzy and was admitted to New Era Hospital. After four days of treatment his condition deteriorated and was declared brain dead by the team of doctors at New Era Hospital including Director of New Era Hospital- Dr. Nilesh Agarwal, Dr. Parag Moon, Dr. Sahil Bansal and Dr. Amol Kokas.
The Zonal Transplant Coordination Centre (ZTCC), Nagpur President – Dr. Sanjay Kolte and Secretary- Dr. Rahul Saxena allocated the organs as per the ZTCC waitlist.
The consent for organ donation was given by : son, Ramesh Patel, elder brother, Manilal Patel and Dinesh Patel, son in law, for both Kidneys, Liver, and a pair of Corneas.
Liver- was allocated to New Era Hospital to a 70 year old patient. Both Kidneys went to a – 51 year old female at New Era Hospital , Nagpur. Pair of Corneas went to – Madhav Netra Pedhi
The donor was maintained by Intensivist team – Dr. Sagar Chopde.
Anaesthesia Team included : Dr. Sahil Bansal and Dr. Ayushma Jejani. The transplant Coordinators were Dr. Ashwini Choudhari and Pallavi Jawade.

Serology – Donor and Recipients Organs cross match was done by Dr. Shailendra Mundhada, Druv Pathology lab.
New Era Hospital staff created the honour corridor and paid tributes to the donor. They also provided Free ambulance service.
