Hotelier Prince Tuli who was booked by Sadar police for creating ruckus and beating up the manager of the renowned C P Club, is on the run and has been successful in evading police action.
On Tuesday night, Sadar police reached Tuli’s house in Clark Town, but were unable to find him there. It is being speculated that he is trying to acquire legal aid in order to escape police custody. It is also being said that the venue ‘1901’ at C P Club has been in the news for fights previously too.
It should be noted that at around 1.10 am on March 30, Prince Tuli beat up the manager of CP Club after he was denied entry by the latter. Only members or their guests are allowed entry into the club. Tuli is not a member and he was heavily drunk.
Tuli later got into his car and drove three to four rounds of the club at a high- speed, threatened people and left. The entire incident was captured in the club’s CCTV cameras, but due to fear, manager Bijwar was hesi- tant to lodge a complaint.
He was later booked by Sadar police on May 2 fol- lowing which he went underground. The venue has been infamous fo such in- cidents in the past but police have been known to exercise restraint due as many in- fuential people are members of this club.
