Central Railways has announced that 14 Summer Special trains will ply on the Pune- Indore route to accommodate the extra rush of passengers.
Between 19 May and 30 June, the 09323 Summer Special train will journey every Friday. The train will depart from Pune at 05:10 hrs and reach Indore at 23:55 hrs on the same day. The 09324 Summer Special train is scheduled to run every Thursday for the same period. The train will depart Indore at 11:00 hrs and reach Pune around 03:10 the next day.
The train halts at Lonavala, Kalyan, Vasai Road, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara Jn, Godhra, Ratlam, Nagda, Ujjain and Dewas. The train has one first AC, two AC- 3 Tiers, 12 Sleeper coaches, 6 general second class coaches, including two Guard brake vans.
Additionally, SECR has also decided to run additional trains on Mumbai-Hyderabad-Pune route to clear rush. The proposed train will depart Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus at 00:30 hrs and reach Hyderabad at 18:30 hrs the same day. The train from Hyderabad to Mumbai will depart Hyderabad at 20:35 hrs and arrive at Pune at 12:05 hrs the next day.
