Despite unexpected showers, there is no respite from the heat for city dwellers as the temperature continues to hover around 42 degrees. The highest recorded temperature in Nagpur was 42.6 degrees on Friday.
However, Amravati and Wardha cities were the hottest, with mean temperatures of 43.4 and 43.2 degrees, respectively. Akola was the hottest, with the highest recorded temperature at 43.7 degrees. Other cities in Vidarbha too recorded temperatures above 40 degrees, with Washim at 42, Chandrapur at 42.8, Gadchiroli at 41.2, and Bramhapuri at 42.1.
