Vidarbha is experiencing severe heat from the last few weeks. On Monday, Nagpur recorded the maximum temperature soaring to 41.6 degree Celsius.
The data of Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) Nagpur showed that Akola and Gadchiroli were the hottest in Vidarbha with a maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius. It was closely followed by Amravati and Chandrapur at 42 degree Celsius.
Brahmapuri recorded 41.2 and was Wardha 40.2 degrees Celsius.
As per the met department’s forecast, the temperatures are expected to remain on the higher side for the next few days. between 12-3pm and keep hydrated. The dos and don’ts add that in case a person is affected by sunstroke, pour water on the victim’s head and immediately give ORS or lemon juice, and take him to the nearest health centre.
In its warning, the met department has advised citizens to stay indoors.
Note: Traditional remedies like onion salad and raw mango with salt and cumin can prevent heat stroke. If you feel dizzy or ill, see a doctor immediately.
