Frightened, Amit Zilpe brought the car back to the judge’s bungalow in the dark of night and parked it where it was.
After the judge woke up in the morning, he saw the plight of his car. They wondered how the car which was safely parked in the porch of the bungalow at night met with such an accident in the morning. Senior police officers were informed about the incident. The police started an investigation. The CCTV footage from the street outside the judge’s bungalow was checked. and it showed the judge’s car running on the streets in the middle of the night. Police constable Amit Zilpe, who was posted for security at the bungalow, was questioned and he admitted that he himself had taken the car out of the bungalow for a tour.
Initially, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar suspended Amit Zilpe. However, as his action was a disgrace to the police force, he was permanently dismissed from the police force.
