It is a relief for travellers as Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express commences operation from Platform No. 8, on the east side of Nagpur Railway Station. This change came after persistent demands from passengers and the South East Central Railway Zonal Railway Users Consultative Committee (ZRUCC).
Previously, the train departed from Platform No. 7, which lacked essential amenities and catering services, causing inconvenience for passengers. Recognizing these concerns, Vijay Dhawale of ZRUCC actively advocated for a shift to a more suitable platform. The railway authorities promptly responded to rectify the situation.
The relocation to Platform No. 8 is expected to enhance the travel experience for Vande Bharat Express passengers significantly. This platform offers the necessary facilities, including catering services, waiting rooms, and passenger assistance, ensuring a hassle-free journey.
Passengers can now enjoy a seamless boarding experience as the Vande Bharat Express is easily accessible from Platform No. 8. This change not only improves convenience for travellers but also enhances the efficiency of train operations at Nagpur Railway Station.
The decision to change platforms came after a delegation led by former MP Dr. Vikas Mahatme met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on May 16. The minister promptly addressed their concerns, leading to the train’s relocation to its new home platform the very next day.
