In quick, coordinated action by a team of Central Railway officials inspected Azad Hind Express at Nagpur station for violation of safety and hygienic norms by the pantry car service provider.
The joint team led by Assistant Commercial Manager (Coaching), Commercial, RPF & IRCTC officials inspected the train at 0950 Hrs. on dated 26.05.2023 on its arrival from Pune and found the use of LPG cylinder for cooking by pantry car service provider and sale of an unauthorized brand of Packaged Drinking Water Bottles. Two persons using the cylinder were handed over to GRP under applicable explosive acts. The 20 boxes of unauthorized drinking water bottles were confiscated, and the Railway administration imposed a penalty.
Shri. Ashutosh Srivastava, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Nagpur, has emphasized thew need to improve passenger safety and protect passenger rights. He has already instructed ‘Team Commercial’ about Zero tolerance towards deficiency in service provided to Railway passengers.
