The registration process for households in the ‘Swapna Niketan’ housing scheme opened on Thursday. Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B performed the inauguration of the online registration process. He also visited the site at MouzaWanjra on Kamptee Road. On the occasion, Chief Engineer Rajeev Gaikwad; Superintendent Engineer Manoj Talewar; Executive Engineer Sunil Ukey; Gaurav Agrawala of Sandeep Developers; CEO of the company Unmesh Dhote and others were also present.
The housing scheme is being developed by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation Slum Rehabilitation Authority. The eligible home seekers may apply online by visiting the website www.nmcnagpur.gov.in.
The applicants may apply till June 25. Radhakrishnan B appealed to the needy persons to avail household under the scheme.
Recently Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis laid foundation stone of the housing project. The project is part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Mission under which 480 households will be constructed.
The cost of the household is
Rs 11.51 lakh and there is subsidy of Rs 2.50 lakh under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and thus the effective cost will be about Rs 9.02 lakh.
Interested persons may apply on-line by paying Rs 200. NMC will hold draw of lots for allotment of the units.
A period of 24 months is stipulated for completion of construction.
