With the slogan ‘Abki Bar Kisan Sarkar’, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) has planned to spread its wings in the Vidrabha region. In the month of June office of his ‘Bharat Rashtra Samiti’ (BRS) will be opened in Nagpur. KCR himself is expected to attend the event, informs East Vidarbha Convenor of BRS Prof Dnyaneshway Wakudkar.
KCR has made entry into Maharashtra by holding public meetings in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra. The party is planning to contest Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) elections in Maharashtra. Prior to Maharashtra, the party will not contest polls in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan or Chhattisgarh. It did not contest elections in Karnataka.
KCR started his expansion programme in the Nanded district in Maharashtra. He addressed rallies in Nanded, Loha and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad). A camp for the party workers from Maharashtra was also held in Nanded.
KCR’s expansion programmes hold importance as several villages on the borders of other states have expressed willingness to join other states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana instead of remaining ‘neglected’ in Maharashtra.
Timely intervention by Maharashtra Government can save the ignominy of allowing these villages to prefer other states than Maharashtra.
