The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) cell has started the centralised admission process (CAP) for admission to 767 engineering colleges in the state. A total of 1,30,356 engineering seats are up for grabs in the state engineering colleges for the academic year (AY) 2022-23.
The CET cell started the much-awaited counselling process (CAP) for MHT-CET-qualified candidates on Friday. Students desirous of taking admission in BE, BTech (4 years), and Master of Engineering (5 years) courses can submit their applications online.
The last date to submit and verify applications and documents is October 4 (4 pm). However, the facility for non-CAP candidates will continue till November 17 (5 pm).
The schedule for online submission and confirmation of options for CAP round 1 is October 13 to 15. Candidates have to accept seats from October 19 to 21 (3 pm). Students are required to report to the allotted institute and confirm admission from October 19 to 21.
The CAP process is a crucial step for students who have cleared the MHT-CET and are looking to pursue engineering. The process ensures that students are admitted to the best possible colleges based on merit.
The CET cell has made it clear that it will not entertain any requests for late submission of applications or documents. Students are advised to submit their applications and documents well in time to avoid any last-minute hassles.
