State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, providing relief to consumers. The 19-kg LPG cylinder for commercial use in Delhi now costs Rs 1,773, down from Rs 1,856.50. In Mumbai, the price is Rs 1,725, while Kolkata residents will pay Rs 1,875.50, and Chennai residents will shell out Rs 1,937. These new rates took effect today, with monthly revisions taking place on the first day of each month.
Commercial LPG prices were reduced by Rs 171.50 in May, while domestic cylinder prices remained the same. In April, rates were slashed by Rs 91.50 per unit, reaching Rs 2,028. However, on March 1, companies increased commercial and domestic LPG cylinder prices by Rs 350.50 and Rs 50 per unit, respectively.
Domestic cooking gas prices currently stand at Rs 1,003 in Delhi, Rs 1,029 in Kolkata, Rs 1,002.5 in Mumbai, and Rs 1,018.5 in Chennai, remaining unchanged.
