Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena would contest all coming elections together. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde made the announcement after he and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday night.Discussions about issues relating to Maharashtra were held for over 70 minutes.
Shinde stated through a Twitter message that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance is working in Maharashtra for the last 11 months. For continuing with the pace of development and to take Maharashtra to the number one position, BJP-SS will contest all elections together and would come out victorious.Shinde also said that he and Fadnavis met Amit Shah and discussed issues relating to agriculture, the cooperative sector, women empowerment etc. Works on various projects have gained pace, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have been guiding them. The decision to contest elections together in Maharashtra was also taken in the meeting.
