The trees were uprooted in many parts of east Nagpur due to stormy rain on Wednesday afternoon. Over 100 trees fell in various places like Satnami Nagar, Bhaurao Nagar, VMA College, Vardhaman Nagar, Hirvi Nagar, and Garoba Ground.
The traffic on the road was disrupted due to the fall of trees, and many vehicles were also damaged.
In this sudden emergency situation, immediate rescue work was started by the teams of fire, Garden, electricity and other departments of the Nmc.
The road was cleared by removing fallen trees and branches in many places. Elsewhere, the work is being carried out on a war footing by the Nmc team.
