Under the ‘My Life, My Clean City’ campaign initiated by the Central Government, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation successfully established twelve RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) centres across Zone 10. These efforts have received recognition for their outstanding environmental preservation efforts on World Environment Day.
The event, held at the Dharampeth Zone office, witnessed the felicitation of Dr. Gajendra Mahalle, Director of Solid Waste Management, and Prakash Varade, Assistant Commissioner of Dharampeth Zone and Social Development Department, along with the commendation of Savitri Mahila Bachat Gat’s President, Mrs. Ramteke, for their remarkable contributions to the RRR centre in Dharampeth. The entire staff actively participated in the cleanliness drive, showcasing their enthusiasm, while citizens also showed their support by depositing recyclable items such as old clothes, books, bags, toys, and plastic materials at the RRR centres.
