Pandhurna Station on the Nagpur-Itarsi railway section of Central Railway (CR) has successfully implemented a new Electronic Interlocking Signaling system and commissioned a third line. The advanced system, designed as per RDSO guidelines, incorporates technologies like standby fuse alarms, an Integrated Power Supply system, and a Fire alarm system to enhance reliability.
With this implementation, a total of 23 stations in the Nagpur division will now have electronic interlocking. The system prevents conflicting train movements and ensures safe routes. All signalling equipment at Pandhurna Station was replaced, improving signalling performance and reducing human errors.
The installation of Thick Web Switches supports high-speed train operations. This upgrade will facilitate smoother train movement, increased capacity, and enhanced safety in the Nagpur-Itarsi section. The Electronic Interlocking system at Pandhurna Station signifies the commitment to safe and efficient railway operations, benefiting passengers and stakeholders with improved services and reliability.
