The Agniveer army recruitment rally started at the divisional sports complex Mankapur at 12 pm on Friday night. Candidates from ten districts of Vidabhar apart from Buldana are participating in this recruitment rally. 780 candidates from the Bhandara district were tested on the first day.
The second annual army recruitment in the country started from Nagpur through this Agniveer rally.
Colonel R. Director of Army Recruitment Office Nagpur. Jagath Narayan, Commandant of GRC Brigadier Anand, Local Military Authority Lt. Colonel Bhuvan Shah, District Soldier Welfare Officer Major Dr. Shilpa Kharpkar, was present on this occasion. GRC Commander Brigadier Anand flagged off the physical ability test of the boys at 12 pm.
Physical test competition is very transparent and ability based. After the running competition, the disqualified students were immediately taken out of the ground by buses provided by the Municipal Corporation. Afterwards, various tests were conducted for the selected students until late at night. The selection process started at 9 pm and continued till 10 am.
