On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee Ceremony of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) in Nashik, the Best colleges in the state were honoured with awards. The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences announced the Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College and Hospital, Hingna, District Nagpur, for this award, which was given for the first time since the inception of MUHS. Hemant Kalmegh, Honorary Secretary of Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Pratishthan, was honoured with this award on 10.6.2023, at the hands of Union Minister, Minister of State, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Hon’ble Dr. Bharati Pawar and Vice-Chancellor of MUHS, Lieutenant General Hon’ble Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar (Retd).
Union Minister of State Hon’ble Dr. Bharati Pawar along with President of Undergraduate Education Board, National Medical Commission, Hon’ble Dr. Aruna Vanikar, Former Vice-Chancellor Hon’ble Dr. Mrudula Phadke, Hon’ble Dr. Arun Jamkar, Hon’ble Dr. Dilip Mhaisekar, Vice-Chancellor of MUHS, Lieutenant General Hon’ble Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar (Retd), Pro Vice-Chancellor of MUHS, Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Milind Nikumbh and Registrar Hon’ble Dr. Rajendra Bangal, prominent members of various bodies of MUHS & eminent academician of Health sciences from all over Maharashtra were present in this Silver Jubilee Ceremony.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Hon’ble Dr. Madhuri Kanitkar presented the extraordinary progress graph of the university in the last 25 years. She mentioned that MUHS is continuously working to bring about new research in the field of medicine and new changes in the field of education. Speaking on this occasion, she said that the performance of university students is important behind the success in the health sector of Maharashtra, and she was confident that the forthcoming period will be the golden era of the university. On this occasion, various dignitaries appreciated the university’s academic progress and congratulated the office bearers.
In this function, the Best colleges in various revenue divisions of the Maharashtra state were felicitated with the Best College award to celebrate the Silver Jubilee year of the university. In this, Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College was selected on behalf of the university from the dental faculty in Nagpur Revenue division, considering the noteworthy graph of not only academic progress but also for research & extra-curricular activities of the students of Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College since 2006 and continuously maintained the best result amongst dental colleges, during its past glorious 17 years.
On the foundation day of MUHS, Hemant Kalmegh, Honorary Secretary, Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Pratishthan, was presented with this award by dignitaries. Due to this award, one more feather has been added to the crown of honour of Swargiya Dadasaheb Kalmegh Smruti Dental College and Hospital. This stellar landmark is believed to be the result of the substantial achievements of the college in the fields of education, culture and research in a very short period of time. The college administration is being praised and appreciated by many noted educationists of various educational institutions in medical and dental fields, not only in Vidarbha but also all across the country.
