According to official sources, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a high-level meeting on Tuesday to address the prevailing heat wave conditions in several parts of the country. The meeting, scheduled for 11:30 am, will gather prominent figures such as Niti Aayog member (Health) Dr VK Paul, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director General Dr Rajiv Bahl, and experts from the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In recent days, various regions, including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Odisha, have witnessed a surge in deaths caused by heat stroke. This meeting aims to review public health preparedness in combating heat wave conditions. The minister and the attendees will likely discuss strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of extreme heat and explore measures to prevent further fatalities.
