The Cessna 172R trainee aircraft was flagged off by Divisional Commissioner and Nagpur Flying Club President Vijayalakshmi Bidari on Wednesday. Now the aircraft has joined the flying club’s fleet for training.
Divisional Commissioner Bidri took the complete information about the ‘Cessna 172R aircraft. After she visited the flying club hangar. she inspected the training centre and aircraft repair department.
A total of 40 trainees are undergoing training at the Nagpur Flying Club. The Flying Club has a total of four trainee aircraft in its fleet to complete the scheduled flying hours during the training period. Three of these aircraft are two-seaters. Cessna 172R aircraft is a four-seater.
The aircraft has been out of service since 2017 due to technical issues. The aircraft has rejoined the service of the Flying Club today after the technical problems have been resolved.
The state government owns Nagpur Flying Club, and through this, the students of Vidarbha and Central India have been provided with an opportunity for pilot training. This club provides training at affordable rates. Bidri has appealed to the students to make maximum use of this opportunity.
