Two youths, identified as Tapish Bagde and Rushab Kawle, were arrested by Jaripatka police for robbing an elderly manager and later showering bar girls with stolen money. The court granted the police one day of custody for further investigation.
The incident occurred when the complainant, a manager at Gajbhiye’s Bharat Gas Agency, was heading home on his bike on June 17. The accused kicked his bike in Laghu Vetan Colony and fled with three lakh rupees. Despite the initial investigation yielding no leads, the police eventually traced the culprits to a hotel in Mumbai, where they had been enjoying themselves and splurging money at bars for several days. The accused had even changed their SIM card and purchased a new mobile phone. The police successfully apprehended them in Mumbai.
