As schools are set to reopen from June reports of parents being charged more than the original price for school books are making rounds. According to reports, the administration desk of Adarsh Sanskar Vidyalaya, Pipla, is putting high price tags instead of the original price of the books
This came to light when a parent of a nursery student noticed a double price tag on the book he bought for his kid. When he scratched the tag he found the original price of the book.
The nursery book cost him Rs 125 but the original price of the book was only Rs 85. The price of the Smiley Numbers book was written at Rs 175, but the original price was Rs 140.
This school charges a total fees of Rs 25,884 for admission in Nursery to KG Two classes. It includes admission fee, tuition fee, term fee, activity and evaluation fee. It is compulsory to get the school uniform and books from the school itself and parents have to pay a separate charges for that. 1975 rupees are being collected for textbooks.
A parent exposed this bad Practice of School. in this regard when we contacted
the principal of the school No response was received.
The type of financial looting of parents by private schools is not new but parents are expressing their anger as this kind of looting is being done in the name of books in the nursery class itself.
