The critically injured tiger, which was rescued from Mhasala village adjacent to South Umred forest area, succumbed to his injuries during treatment. He was being treated at the Transit Treatment Center in Seminary Hills. According to the veterinary doctor, the wound caused the poison to spread in the tiger’s body, causing its organs to stop working.
The tiger was seen sitting injured near Mhsala village under Niyat area of Umred Chargaon sub-forest area. He had severe injuries on his right leg and body. According to the information, the forest department team carried out a rescue operation and brought the tiger to the transit center. He died on Sunday without much response to treatment.
According to the guidelines of NTCA, the team conducted a postmortem of the tiger and its samples were sent to the laboratory for examination.
