Covid pandemic left thousands of children orphaned following the deaths of both parents. For such children, the state government has introduced a child care programme.
As a result, the state’s women and child welfare department expanded the scheme and introduced a revamped Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Bal Sangopan Yojana. The women and child welfare department will provide a monthly allowance of 2,250 under this scheme.
The scheme is now benefiting 4,415 children in the district. “The government has implemented this scheme with the aim of providing a family environment to orphaned children. Orphans can contact the office of the District Women and Child Development Officer to take advantage of the scheme.
List of documents required:
- Residential proof of beneficiary aged below 18 years.
- Aadhaar card of the beneficiary and guardian.
- Proof of annual income of the parent.
- Death certificate of mother, father, or both.
- Photo in front of the house with parents.
- Child’s date of birth certificate or Bonafide if the child is studying.
- Undertaking of guardian or relative
