Pratik Mopkar has won a gold medal in Table Tennis at the the Special Olympic World games played from June 17 to June 24 at Berlin, Germany in men’s double category in table tennis.
He represented India in two games at the Special Olympic World Olympic games.
Pratik also secured fourth position in Division A in the men’s above 30 years individual category.
He was selected on the basis of his preparedness in four camps and also his performance at the selection trials held in Faridabad, Noida and Gandhi Nagar.
Pratik was trained under the guidance of his father Mangesh Mopkar who is an international referee and grandfather of late Avinash Mopkar who was an international umpire.
