Renowned radio jockey Nisha attended the LGBTQ Príde Carnival held at VR Mall on Thursday evening.
Addressing the gathering attending the Carnival, RJ Nisha gave the message of changing our mindset towards people with different sexual orientation. Repeating the tagline of the radio channel that hosts her ‘Breakfast show’, she left the audience with the message ‘dhun badal ke to dekho’ meaning, try changing the tune or mindset.
The Carnival was organized by Sarathi Trust in collaboration with VR Mall to mark the conclusion of Pride Month. The event saw a fashion and open mic with participants from the LGBTQ community.
Bhavesh, a homosexual youth from Nagpur attended the gathering dressed in a saree. He quips, “I always attend pride gatherings as I feel at home in the company of my friends”.
Transgenders Mohini and Deepika also attended the Carnival dressed in stunning outfits, befitting for the fashion show.
Anand Chandrani, project director at Sarathi Trust, informs that the organization faced several challenges in organizing the event.
Finally, with the help of close friends and well wishers the event got staged successfully. He also thanked the mall authorities for the cooperation.
