Nagpur Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Radhakrishnan B has handed over the charge to the District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar. Radhakrishnan is proceeding on a 11-month leave, granted for higher studies. He will pursue a master’s degree in Public Administration at Howard University, Washington.
Radhakrishnan was appointed the Municipal Commissioner in August 2020 to succeed Tukaram Mundhe. He successfully handled the crisis situation during Covid-19 pandemic. Major events like G-20 summit were handled by Radhakrishnan. He effectively handled the DP Road Projects and Orange City project. City Bus services improved and Nagpur’s ranking under Swach Bharat Abhiyan got a boost under his leadership.
