Electricity DP located at Chandikanagar No. 2 on Manewada-Besa Road caught fire at around 11 am. Initially, as there was sparking from the DP, the local people contacted the office of Mahavitaran. But as Mahavitran staff did not reach on time, the sparking increased and the fire broke out.
Two fire tenders from Narendra nagar and Sakkardara reached the spot. Traffic was stopped as the fire spread. The fire brigade reached the spot and brought the fire under control. As per locals, the electricity supply was cut off in the area for some time.
