The Supreme Court reopened on Monday after the summer vacations, with a paperless and technology-enabled set-up. Free WiFi facilities has been made available for lawyers, litigants, and others.
Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud announced that the apex court has made the facility available in Courts 1 to 5 and will be available soon in bar rooms. There will be no books or papers but it does not mean that they will not reply on books or papers at all, Chandrachud said.
The facility will be extended to all the courtrooms, library, Ladies’ Bar Rooms, Bar Lounge, and adjoining areas in phases.
