Three burglars have been held by Pardi Police involved in thefts and housebreakings. Stolen gold worth Rs 4.75 lakhs were also recovered from them.
The accused have been identified as Afroz Shamshad Ansari (20), a resident of Ambe Nagar, Bhandewadi; Mohammad Fayyaz Ezaz Ansari (20), a resident of Gangabag and Sandip Vijaykumar Shahu (24) of Naveen Nagar. They were involved in at least five house-breaking incidents.
Based on a tip-off, a team of Pardi Police chacked footage of CCTV and identified the accused. They confessed of committing burglaries, during interrogation. Stolen gold ornaments were also recovered from their possession.
Senior Police Inspector Manohar Kotnake, PI Bharat Shinde, PSI Deepak Ingle led the team to nab the three involved in thefts and housebreaking.
The gold ornaments worth Rs 4 lakhs were stolen from a house in Bhim Nagar under Ajni Police Station. The complaint was lodged by Deepti Babuni Karapatiof 47, Bhim Nagar, with Ajni Police Station.
