Nagpur Veterinary College celebrated its 66th Foundation Day with a grand function held at the Silver Jubilee Auditorium of the college. The event was graced by MLA Vikas Thakre as the chief guest, while Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Madne attended as a special guest.
In his opening remarks, Dr. A. P. Somkuwar, the Associate Dean of the college, highlighted the remarkable journey of the institution since its inception. He specifically mentioned the outstanding achievements of the college’s alumni at the national and international levels, which have brought recognition to the institute.
Chief guest Vikas Thakre commended the notable contributions of the college towards farmers and society, despite the challenges of insufficient manpower and other limitations. He assured his support in addressing these difficulties at the government level and pledged funds for the development of the college’s playground.
Joint Commissioner of Police Rahul Madne, in his speech, raised concerns about the excessive use of social media on mobile phones and its potential risks for college students in terms of cybercrime. He encouraged the students to focus more on their academic development and career building.
During the function, academic officers, staff, and students of the college were honoured by the dignitaries for their remarkable achievements. Dr. A. P. Dhok served as the program anchor, while Dr. D. S. Raghuvanshi proposed the vote of thanks.
