A total of 39 people participated in the novel competition ‘Shankhanaad’ (blowing of conch). The contest was organised y Kavikulguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek at its premises, as a part of Guru Pournima and International Yog Day celebrations.
A workshop on the importance of the Conch and the benefit of its blowing was also held. The university is working to propagate symbols of Indian culture and traditions by providing the science behind it.
The programme was held under the guidance of KKSU Vice-Chancellor Dr Hareram Tripathi.
The winners in different categories are (First and Second)– Children (Boys) – Manas Shelokar and Abhang Kimmatkar. (Girls) – Swara Chakinaopurwar, Niwanshu Sonawane.
Open (Male)- Kaushal Joshi and Panchasheel Thul (Female) – Anupama Shrivastava and Mayuri Kavishwar.
Dean Dr Madhusudan Penna, and Registrar Dr Ramchandra Joshi also guided the participants. Dr Sumit Kathale made introductory remarks. Kunal Mahajan conducted the proceedings. Kalapini Agasti proposed a vote of thanks.
