Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) is restarting the A B Incline underground mine. It has issued the Letter of Wrad (LOA) to Shri Amarnath Mineral Pvt Ltd (In consortium with S R Remedial Services Pvt Ltd & Chandra Coal Pvt Ltd).
The agreement will be for 25 years based on revenue sharing. Earlier, a similar agreement was executed by WCL at Walni underground mine. The target of the present agreement is to produce 6.55 million tonnes of coal in 25 years. The agreement includes coal production, rehabilitation, development and management.
WCL Joint CMD Manoj Kumar formally handed over the LOA to Shailendra Kailashchandra Agrawal and Narendar Singh Kohli of Shri Amarnath Mineral Pvt Ltd. Manoj Kumar expressed hope that the work would begin soon. The mine will play an important role in fulfilling the requirement for coal.
Director Technical (Schemes) A K Sinh, Secretary to the Joint Director Tarun Kumar Shrivastava, General Manager (CMC) A P Sinh, and Chief Manager (Mining) Sanjay Bhat were present on the occasion.
