Railway traffic on Nagpur-Mumbai as well as Nagpur-Pune route has been completely affected due to rain water under the railway track between Mana and Kurum. Many trains have been canceled and some have been stopped on the spot. Some train routes have been changed.
On the Murtijapur-Mana railway line, near pole number 629/28, the railway track was waterlogged due to heavy rain. The lower part became like a tunnel and the rain water started flowing down the railway tracks like a big drain. Due to this, up and down trains in Bhusawal division got delayed after 6.50 pm. Many trains including Nagpur Amravati Mumbai, Puri-Surat Express, Nagpur-Pune Express, Vidarbha Express, Shalimar Express, Ahmedabad-Howrah Express, Dnyaneshwari Express, Bhusawal-Wardha Memu were affected and some trains were stopped at Badnera railway station and some were stopped near Murtijapur. some trains were rescheduled. Secunderabad Express was diverted via Akola-Nanded. Due to this whole situation, the passengers had to suffer a lot of anguish.
Efforts are being made on war footing to restore this situation, and the railway administration has apologized for the inconvenience caused to the railway passengers.
