Several trains cancelled due to non-interlocking work on Rajnandgaon-Kalamna section

In an effort to enhance rail connectivity, the South East Central Railway is undertaking non-interlocking work to connect the third line from Gudma Railway Station to the Rajnandgaon-Kalamna section of the Nagpur Rail Mandal. The work, scheduled from July 13th to July 18th, 2023, aims to minimize disruption to rail traffic and optimize future train operations.

As a consequence of this construction, a limited number of train services will be temporarily cancelled during the designated period. This measure has been implemented to mitigate inconvenience to passengers while ensuring a smooth and efficient railway system in the long run.

The following train services will be affected:

1. Train No. 08755 Ramtek-Itwari Memu Passenger Special, originating from Ramtek, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 17th, 2023.
2. Train No. 08756 Itwari-Ramtek Memu Passenger Special, departing from Itwari, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 18th, 2023.
3. Train No. 18239 Korba-Itwari Express, departing from Korba, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 17th, 2023.
4. Train No. 18240 Itwari-Korba Express, departing from Itwari, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 18th, 2023.
5. Train No. 12855 Bilaspur-Itwari Intercity Express, originating from Bilaspur, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 18th, 2023.
6. Train No. 12856 Itwari-Bilaspur Intercity Express, departing from Itwari, will be cancelled from July 14th to July 18th, 2023.
7. Train No. 18109 Tata Nagar-Itwari Express, departing from Tata Nagar, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 16th, 2023.
8. Train No. 18110 Itwari-Tata Nagar Express, departing from Itwari, will be cancelled from July 14th to July 17th, 2023.
9. Train No. 08724 Gondia-Raipur Memu Passenger Special, departing from Gondia, will be cancelled on July 16th, 2023.
10. Train No. 08721 Raipur-Dongargarh Memu Passenger Special, departing from Raipur, will be cancelled on July 15th, 2023.
11. Train No. 08723 Dongargarh-Gondia Memu Passenger Special, departing from Dongargarh, will be cancelled on July 15th, 2023.
12. Train No. 08715 Balaghat-Itwari Passenger Special, originating from Balaghat, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 18th, 2023.
13. Train No. 08714 Itwari-Gondia-Balaghat Passenger Special, departing from Itwari, will be cancelled from July 13th to July 18th, 2023.

The railway administration expresses regret for any inconvenience caused to passengers and seeks their cooperation during this period of construction. The non-interlocking work undertaken will ultimately contribute to a more efficient and reliable rail network, benefiting both present and future commuters.
