The Sessions Court has dismissed the plea made by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to transfer the investigation of the Nitin Gadkari threat case to them. Following the court’s rejection, the NIA plans to approach the High Court for further consideration. The case involves an FIR filed by Dhantoli police against two accused individuals, Jayesh Pujari and Afsar Pasha.
Presently, both Jayesh Pujari and Afsar Pasha are in the custody of Dhantoli police and have been transported from a prison in Belgaum to Nagpur for investigation. The NIA’s bid to take over the case has been met with resistance at the Sessions Court level, prompting the agency to pursue the matter at the High Court for potential intervention. Further developments are anticipated as the case unfolds.
