Indian Air Force Maintenance Command developed A ‘Real Time Aircraft Tracking System’ through which the Air Force can get aircraft location updates in every 30 seconds. Air Force Maintenance Command, Commanding in Chief, Air Marshal Vibhas Pande gave this information while talking to the media in Nagpur.
He informed about the various steps and initiatives being taken by the Air Maintenance Command to enhance the maintenance and operational readiness of the Indian Air Force.
Talking about the introduction of advanced and modern technology in the Air Force, Air Marshal Pande said that one of the Base Repair Depots (BRD) led by the Air Force Maintenance Command has developed a ‘Real Time Aircraft Tracking System’ through which the Air Force can get updates on the location of aircraft every 30 seconds. he added that the tracking system is satellite based and indigenously developed and can track the aircraft path.
Air Marshal Pande also said that 16 military transport aircraft of C295 will be made in Spain, the remaining 40 aircrafts will be manufactured in India, Gujarat’s Tata Tall Company will manufacture it, Pandey said that this aircraft will be used for Navy, Army and Air Force transport. He said that India will receive four C295 aircraft in September this year.
