Delegation of Chamber of Association of Maharashtra Industry & Trade (CAMIT) led by President Dr Dipen Agrawal called upon Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari (IAS), Commissioner, Nagpur Municipal Corporation and welcomed him with CAMIT dupatta and floral bouquet on behalf of business community of Nagpur city.
Dr Dipen Agrawal, welcoming Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari said illegal hawking in market place is the most significant and critical issue concerning the business community of the City and suggested that a functional Town Vending Committee is the need of the hour to regulate the hawking in the best interest of all stake holders. Dr Agrawal, upraised newly appointed Municipal Commissioner with the recent meeting conducted by Shri Nitin ji Gadkari, (MP-Nagpur) and decisions taken therein to modernise the market places on Bhandara road and requested Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari to organise a camp to regularise all transfers to update Bazar Samiti records so as to enable galedharaks to enjoy the fruits of development.
Manubhai Soni upraised Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari about the harassment faced by traders due to erroneous working of Local Body Tax (LBT) department. LBT officers are passing best judgement orders at the highest tax rate thereby inflating the demand manifold. Trade and commerce plays’ a significant role in the development of any city and the citizens in particular. To increase the ease of doing business index of Nagpur city, there is urgent need for sensitizing LBT department added Dr Dipen Agrawal.
Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, appreciating the concern raised by the delegation assured that he will ensure administration works in tandem with traders make Nagpur a most desirable, safer and cleaner City to live.
